PURPOSE: To obtain a railroad crossing control system which is hardly influenced by external noise and weather, and improves train detection accuracy. CONSTITUTION: The system is equipped with train detection devices 1, 6, 9 which detect an approaching train to a crossing 2 and a passing train through the crossing 2, and a crossing control device 17 controlling the crossing. The devices 1, 6 which detect the approaching train to the crossing, and the device 9 which detects the passing train through the crossing include a modulation means 231, transmission/reception means 21, 22, a demodulation means 231, and a determination means 24. The modulation means 231 generates transmission wave modulating carrier wave. The means 21, 22 emit transmission wave in the detection range from the train detection device to the detection distance, and receive the electric wave. The modulation means 231 modulates the electric wave and determines that the electric wave is the reflecting wave relative to the transmission wave. The determination means 24 determines that the train is detected in the detection range when the reflecting wave is determined to be the electric wave relative to the transmission wave, and the receiving level of the reflecting wave is above the predetermined value. The device 17 controls the crossing 2 according to the detected result from respective detection devices 1, 6, 9.
