METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VIDEO CODING OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

摘要

PURPOSE: A method and a system for video coding are provided to improve the performance of GCC(Gravity Centre Coding) on the basis of the temporal centre of gravity of video display codes. CONSTITUTION: A method for video coding of a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) includes augmenting the number of video levels to be selected for enabling GCC(Gravity Centre Coding) and augmenting the number of under-scans in the video level display frame. The augmentation is made possible by the simultaneous addressing of these cells by means of two adjacent lines to the PDP, during two under-scans of the video image display frame.
