The method involves registering a cylindrical-shaped alignment guide with a cast iron crank case (62) and stator (92) of motor to align a bearing support unit. The aligned crank case is secured with the stator by inserting a fastener through passage way that is provided in the guide. Compressor subassembly is inserted into a thermally expanded housing and sealing the housing after inserting. An Independent claim is also included for a compressor assembly.
