Supermarket trolley deposit installation comprises an attachment bar to which trolleys are attached to form a line parallel to the bar. The installation comprises a multiplicity of housings (1) each with a locking key (8) designed to be inserted in a deposit unit mounted on the trolley. The housings are mounted so that they pivot on an internal body that is fixed to the bar. The individual housings are connected by sleeves integral with rotating hubs in the housings. The hubs are locked with the leading hub in the line free to allow removal of the first trolley.
