PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cartridge capable of suppressing the inclination of a reel by ribs which are erected in a housing. SOLUTION: In the recording tape cartridge, a reel in which flanges are provided respectively at both end parts of the axial direction of a reel hub around which a recording tape T is wound is housed inside a housing which is formed by joining an upper housing and a lower housing. The reel is made to be rotated while being floated and the movement of the reel in the axial direction (up and down directions) is possible within the housing. Upper side ribs 72 are erected from the inside of the top plate 16B opposed to the flange of the upper housing 16 radially coaxial with the reel and at equal intervals . The upper side ribs 72 are arranged so as to have phase difference with phases of lower side ribs 70 which are erected from bottom plate of the lower housing radially coaxial with the reel and at equal intervals and whose number is the same as that of the ribs 72.
