COMPOSITIONS USEFUL AS ADJUNCTS IN PAPER AND CARDBOARD AND USE THEREOF

The invention relates to compositions useful as adjuncts in paper and cardboard, use thereof and methods for improvement of the mechanical characteristics and the surface of paper or cardboard sheet using said compositions. Said compositions are characterised in comprising in wt. % relative to the total weight thereof: from 20 to 80 % of at least one gelatine and 20 to 80 % of a mixture comprising at least one diatomaceous earth and at least one surfactant. The invention is of application in the industry for production and processing of papers and cardboards.
