DISEASE RESISTANCE IN SALMON

摘要

The invention concerns Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) genes as quantitative traits loci (QTL) for disease resistance as well as disease susceptibility in fish, preferentially salmonids, more specifically Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout. The diseases are virally induced disease such as infectious salmon anaemia and infectious pancreatic necrosis. The obtained information could be used in breeding.
