<p>The invention concerns a rigid sail for providing wind propulsion of an aquatic or land craft, comprising at least one first module (1), having a leading edge and a trailing edge, each first module (1) including a plurality of successive segments (2, 3) with symmetrical aerodynamic profile whereof the first includes the leading edge of the sail and the last the trailing edge thereof, two successive segments being interconnected by means of an articulation designed to provide the sail with a general asymmetric profile whereof the suction face is positioned leeward and has a substantially continuous curvature, each articulation comprising a hinge (5, 6) designed to enable relative and free continuous displacement of two successive segments (2, 3) of a first module between two extreme positions corresponding each to one said suction face with continuous sail curvature.</p> |
