SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING POSITION OF MOBILE OBJECT AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for detecting the position of a mobile object, a system which individually and continuously detects the position of a child (infant) and with which the child is prevented from being continuously exposed to an electromagnetic wave like in a case when PHS(R) is used, and to provide a method therefor.

SOLUTION: A traveling rate detection means 10 such as an acceleration sensor is mounted on each infant 100 nursed in a nursery and the action of the infant is continuously recorded. Further, the infant is photographed with a position detection means 11 such as a TV camera for picture processing. The position of each infant 100 is detected without identifying the infant itself. The traveling rate information of the infant 100 which the traveling rate detection means 10 detects is collated with positional information of the infant 100 which is detected by the position detection means 11, and the continuous position of each infant 100 is detected by specifying each infant.
