<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which a light emitting means is hardly scratched, surrounding scenery is not easily reflected, optical path of light beams made incident on a liquid crystal display panel from a side surface is efficiently converted in a visible direction, the thickness and the weight are reduced, luminance is made high, and easily visible display is provided. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device, a light path control layer 13 is made light transmissive and has a light emitting means on one surface. The means is made by discontinuously distributing a plurality of minute recessed sections A which are provided with an optical path converting slope "a" having an inclination angle of 35 to 48 degrees with respect to a flat surface. On the forming surface of the light emitting means, an anti-glare layer 11 is adhered through a transparent adhesive layer 12. An optical film 10 with a light path conversion slope of ≥70% made no contact with the layer 12, is adhered to the visible side of the liquid crystal display panel through the adhesive layer so that the antiglare layer side is exposed to outer side. The liquid crystal display panel is made of a reflection system which is provided with a light reflecting layer and a liquid crystal layer which modulates light beams through electric field. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
