<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which a pixel with a defect generated thereon is repaired and lowering of display quality subsequent to repairing is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device comprising a liquid crystal 27 interposed between a pair of substrates 1, 21 and pixels arrayed on the substrates 1, 21 in a matrix, auxiliary capacitance wiring lines 3, an insulating film 4, capacitance electrodes 13, a protection film 9 and pixel electrodes 6 are laminated on the one substrate 1. A capacitance electrode 13 in a pixel is divided in two. Contact holes 14 to expose respective capacitance electrodes 13 are provided on the protection film 9. The capacitance electrode 13 and the pixel electrode 6 are electrically connected to each other via the contact hole 14. A slit 8 straddling an auxiliary capacitance wiring 3 is formed on the pixel electrode 6. The slit 8 is located between a part where one capacitance electrode 13 is connected to the pixel electrode 6 and another part where the other capacitance electrode 13 is connected to the pixel electrode 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
