PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing such an excellent electron transport compound as to solve the serious problem that sensitivity and durability lower in an intermediate layer with respect to an electrophotographic photoreceptor obtained by stacking an intermediate layer and a photosensitive layer on a conductive support. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate and an intermediate layer between the substrate and the photosensitive layer, the intermediate layer contains a resin having a polyimide structure and an amide type organic solvent having a cyclic ketone structure and the content of the amide type organic solvent is 20-8,000 ppm.
