PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for joining composition members for building, which prevent a joining member from being exposed from the surface of the constituent member, and which enable the joining of the composition members to be kept in a firm state, in terms of the joining of the constituent members such as timber. SOLUTION: In a joint between a column 1 and a horizontal member 3, holes 2 and 4 are provided in the column 1 and the horizontal member 3, respectively. Hole expanding parts 21, 21, 41 and 41 are provided in positions at the prescribed depths of the both the holes 2 and 4 so as to enlarge the outside diameters of the respective holes 2 and 4. The joining member 5 is housed in both the holes 2 and 4 in such a manner as to spread over both the holes 2 and 4, and an adhesive 6 for fixedly attaching the joining member 5 into both the holes 2 and 4 is infilled for solidification into both the holes 2 and 4 and both the parts 21, 21, 41 and 41. Stoppers 51, 51, 51 and 51 for preventing the disconnection of the joining member 5 from both the holes 2 and 4 are formed of the adhesive 6 which is infilled for the solidification into the parts 21, 21, 41 and 41.
