PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head, and its manufacturing process, in which both reduction in the quantity of dust adhering to the nozzle chip and facilitation of wiring work to the nozzle chip are attained, and to provide an inkjet printer employing such an inkjet head. SOLUTION: The inkjet head comprises a nozzle chip 21 provided with connection terminals 21d at the upper end part 21c, flexible wiring boards 24a and 24b connected with the connection terminals 21d of the nozzle chip 21, and manifolds 22a and 22b mounted on the side part of the nozzle chip 21 wherein the joints of the connection terminals 21d and the flexible wiring boards 24a and 24b are located above the uppermost end of the manifolds 22a and 22b. When the inkjet head is manufactured, the manifolds 22a and 22b are mounted on the side part of the nozzle chip 21 and then the flexible wiring boards 24a and 24b are connected with the connection terminals 21d of the nozzle chip 21.
