PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To to stabilize the properties of formed pellets as a product by stably operating a powder pelletizing apparatus. SOLUTION: The bulk density of powder fed to a pelletizer 7 is measured and this bulk density is compared with reference bulk density. When the bulk density is higher than the upper limit of the reference bulk density, the flow rate of pelletizing water is lowered while keeping the mass flow rate of the powder constant to lower water content. When the bulk density is lower than the lower limit of the reference bulk density, the number of revolutions of a powder feeder is increased while keeping the flow rate of pelletizing water constant to lower water content.
