PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability for obtaining temporal information from a broadcast signal. SOLUTION: When an XDS scan master M2 detects that a favorite channel is key-input by a user with interruption 60 (S21), it cancels the operation for obtaining a pre-specified channel even if the operation (S28, RT) for obtaining the temporal information of the pre-specified channel is being executed. At that time, a tuner setting master M3 starts to receive a broadcast signal corresponding to the favorite channel detected as a substitute for the specified channel. The XDS scan master M2 executes (S28) the operation for obtaining the temporal information from the broadcast signal corresponding to the received favorite channel. Therefore, every time the favorite channel is specified, the obtaining operation which has theretofore been executed is canceled, and the operation for obtaining currently user-specified favorite channel is preferentially executed.
