PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility adapter for remotely controlling housing units installed in a house by using an electronic mail, and to provide a facility controller. SOLUTION: An L mode facility adapter 13 includes a data branch unit 31 for judging whether received data received from a communication network is the electronic mail or not, an interface unit 34 for transmitting/receiving data according to a predetermined communication rule; and an electronic mail judging unit 32 for judging whether a text sentence for controlling the housing unit is a text described in the electronic main for controlling or not when the electronic mail is judged by the branch unit 31, and for outputting the electronic mail for controlling to the interface unit 34 when the electronic main for controlling is judged.
