N-(3-((2,5-Dioxo-3-pyrrolidinyl)-carbonyl)-alkyl)-amino)-3-oxo-1-phenyl-propyl)-amide compounds (I) are new. Succinimide derivatives of formula (I) and their salts, solvates and solvated salts are new. R1 = alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl; R2 = H or Me; R3, R4 = H or 1-3C alkyl; R5 = halo, CF3, OCF3, NO2, NH2, alkylamino, OH, alkyl, alkoxy, COOH, alkoxycarbonyl, CONH2, alkylaminocarbonyl, aryl or heteroaryl; or two R5 groups together complete a 5-8 membered carbocycle or heterocycle (optionally substituted by 1 or 2 groups R51); R51 = halo, NO2, NH2, CF3, OH, alkyl or alkoxy; R6 = 4-8C alkyl or 4-8C cycloalkyl (both optionally substituted by 1 or 2 groups R61); R61 = as R51; n = 0-3.
