Method for determining the phase displacement of sinusoidal signals of the same frequency has the following steps: determination of four simultaneous voltage values, whereby respectively both sine and cosine values are assigned to a sensor, the voltage values are normalized with respect to amplitude variations; and the phase shift is determined in a model according to the normalized voltage values. The invention also relates to a corresponding determination of the steering wheel moment in a motor vehicle and determination of forces acting on a motor vehicle tire.
