<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for further efficiency of a switched reluctance motor. <P>SOLUTION: A switched reluctance motor controller controls a switched reluctance motor (1), provided with a rotor comprising a rotor pole protruding radially, a stator comprising a stator pole radially protruding inward, and a coil wound around the stator pole. The switched reluctance motor controller comprises an excitation section deciding device (31), that decides the excitation section of a coil so that the copper loss generated at the coil is substantially a minimum, when the switched reluctance motor (1) generates a torque specified by a torque command value (T<SB>c</SB>) based on the torque command value (T<SB>c</SB>), a current command deciding unit (32) that decides a current command value (i<SB>c</SB>) of the current made to flow the coil in the excitation section so that the copper loss is substantially minimum, based on the torque command value (T<SB>c</SB>). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
