<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetical insert-holding type plate denture which can firmly be held in an oral cavity by using magnetical attraction power between magnetic material and a permanent magnetic structure without changing the state of residual teeth. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetical insert-holding type plate denture consists of a main denture base 2 on a tongue side to which artificial teeth 1 are fixed and the permanent magnetic structure 3 or a keeper 5 is fixed to a cheek side; and an auxiliary denture base 4 to which the keeper 5 or the permanent magnetic structure 3 is fixed to a tongue side and where an abutting surface of the tongue side is in contact with an abutting surface onto the main denture base 2 when the keeper 5 is attracted by the structure 3. As for the auxiliary denture base 4, one side along a dental arch is shaped to be suited to the gum of an adjacent residual tooth and the other is shaped to be suited to the gum of the adjacent residual tooth or the gum of the adjacent residual tooth of the main denture base 2. As for the main denture base 2, one side along the dental arch is shaped to be suited to the gum of an adjacent residual tooth and the other is shaped to be suited to the gum of an adjacent or not-adjacent residual tooth. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
