PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure which can reinforce collectively a plurality of fusion spliced sections aligned on a straight line approximately. SOLUTION: The reinforcing structure is for the fusion spliced sections of the optical fibers in which the plurality of the fusion spliced sections where optical fibers are fusion spliced with each other, are aligned approximately on a straight line. The plurality of the fusion spliced sections are formed by holding the fusion spliced sections between a first resin tape having a tacky adhesive layer and a second resin tape bonded to the first resin tape and interposing a plurality of rigid body rods between the first and second resin tapes so as to intersect orthogonally with the longitudinal direction of the tapes.
