PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a user must determine a specific housing frame by oneself for warehousing a warehousing object work. SOLUTION: This automated storage and retrieval warehouse has left-right shelves 1 having a plurality of housing frames, a control device 4 for controlling a warehousing state of the respective housing frames of these left-right shelves 1 and a stacker crane 2 for warehousing the warehousing object work in the specific housing frame on the basis of position information of the specific housing frame of a specific shelf 1. The stacker crane 2 is provided with light sensors X and Y for detecting a placing state of the warehousing object work placed on a carriage 15. The control device 4 is provided with a housing frame determining part 14 for determining the housing frame of a warehousing destination corresponding to the placing state of the warehousing object work based on information on a detecting result of the light sensors X and Y obtained by the stacker crane 2 and a warehousing state of the respective housing frames.
