PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constantly perform optimum and stable transmission control without over-rotation of an engine or an automatic transmission even if shift oil pressure, frictional condition of a shift clutch, engine torque or the like is fluctuated at the time of shift-up when a throttle is fully opened. SOLUTION: In the transmission control at the time of shift-up when the throttle is fully opened, an indicated rotating speed as a threshold value of an engine speed for the shift-up is variably set based on a deviationΔNe derived by comparing an actual maximum engine speed Ner when shifting gears with a preset target maximum engine speed Nec.
