PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping mechanism having a simple adjusting mechanism for adjusting the posture of a moving platen in parallel to a fixed platen. SOLUTION: In the clamping mechanism for an injection molding machine with the platen 1 sliding on a base frame 2, a guide member 4 with a guide face 5 is provided on the base frame 2. The adjusting mechanism 3 is fixed on the platen 1. A projecting position of a member provided on the adjusting mechanism 3 brought into contact with the guide face 5 in the guide face 5 direction is controlled to adjust the inclination in the horizontal direction of the platen 1 to the fixed platen is adjusted.
