PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid enlargement and weight increase of a transformer, by arranging the circuit constitution, such that a current after the removal of higher harmonics flows to the transformer, thereby restraining higher harmonics from flowing to the transformer and causing heat loss, in a converter system which is arranged so that it can override the higher harmonics leaking from PWM converters 1 and 2 to the side of the transformer 4, by means of a filter circuit 3. SOLUTION: This converter system is arranged so that a current, after the removal of higher harmonics, is made tp flow into the transformer 4 by connecting the PWM converters 1 and 2 with the filter circuit 3 in parallel by reactors 15, 16, and 31 and letting them mutually override higher harmonics, in place of having the transformer 4 override the higher harmonics generated by the PWM converters 1 and 2 and the higher harmonics, generated by the filter circuit 3 with each other.
