PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio transmitter for reducing power consumption, as well as achieving comfortable audio reception. SOLUTION: In an audio transmitter 21 comprising a transmitting circuit 2 for modulating a carrier by audio signals; amplifiers 3L, 3R for amplifying the modulated waves; and light-emitting diodes 5L, 5R for transmitting the audio signals according to the amplified modulated waves, a control circuit 22 for adjusting amplification by the amplifiers 3L, 3R according to a distance between a transmitting destination of the audio signals and the audio transmitter 21 is provided.
