PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector assembly of reduced height where a latch arm is protected and a connector for use with it. SOLUTION: The connector assembly 1 comprises a first connector A and a second connector B which are fitted with each other. The first connector A comprises a plurality of contact housing pipe-shaped parts 11, 12 arranged in a line, a latch arm 17 disposed between two adjacent contact housing pipe-shaped parts 11, 12 so as to couple them together, and walls 13, 15 which couple two contact housing pipe-shaped part 11, 12 together so as to cover the latch arm 17. The second connector B comprises fitting portions 31, 32 which receive the contact housing pipe-shaped parts 11, 12 and a locking part 36 which is latched with the latch arm 17.
