PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern forming device for display panel in which manufacturing process is simplified and utilization efficiency of the material can be improved while raising the manufacturing accuracy, and a manufacturing method of the display panel. SOLUTION: A pattern forming material layer 49 is formed by coating a pattern forming material 48 on a substrate 41 by a coating mechanism 47, and a laser optical system 45 irradiates laser beam LB on the pattern forming material layer 49 formed on the substrate 41 and by sintering the pattern forming material 48, a pattern is formed. At this time, the irradiation position of the laser beam LB is determined by the movement and positioning of the laser optical system 45 in the X axis and Y axis directions by a relative movement mechanism 43a, thereby a desired pattern can be easily formed. Further, the pattern forming material 48 which has not been sintered by the laser beam LB is removed from the substrate 41 and recovered, and reused, thereby, the utilization efficiency of the material can be improved.
