PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice melting heater control device for inhibiting the wasteful power consumption of an ice melting heater while securing the continuous supply of ice and preventing the clogging of ice in advance, in an auger-type ice machine. SOLUTION: A rotating frequency of an induction motor 31 is controlled in such manner that the higher the probability of the ice clogging in a pressing head mounted in a tip part of an ice making cylinder 10 is, the lower the rotating frequency is determined, and the lower the probability of the ice clogging is, the higher the rotating frequency is determined, a threshold value determined as a boundary value between a range of high probability of ice clogging and a range of low probability, of the rotating frequency is compared with a result of the detection by a rotating frequency sensor 90 detecting the rotating frequency of the induction motor 31, and the power is supplied to the ice melting heater 40 mounted on the tip part of the ice making cylinder 10 from an AC power source PS, when the result of detection is less than the threshold value, and the power supply is stopped when the result of detection is more than the threshold value.
