PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof composite beam structure which reducer a nuisance to a dweller to a minimum extent and rationally reinforces an existing roof beam at the time of reforming, when performing reform that may increase a load on an existing roof beam. SOLUTION: The composite beam C is constructed by forming a plurality of holes in a roof panel 12 directly on the existing roof beam 11, mounting joint metals 14 on the roof beam 11 via the holes, and connecting a reinforcing beam 13 formed of steel or lumber to the joint metals 14. If the load on the roof beam 11 becomes excessive, a hole is formed in the roof panel at a location directly on an existing column 16, and a connecting fitting 19 is mounted directly on a column 16 via the hole, and the reinforcing beam 13 is connected to the column 16 by using connecting fittings 19. The joint metal 14 is manufactured by forming a lower mounting piece 14a and an upper mounting piece 14b on both ends of a connecting piece 14e, and arranging bolt holes 14c formed in the lower mounting piece 14a at locations that are inside locations of bolt holes 14d formed in the upper mounting piece 14b.
