PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output paper retaining mechanism capable of fully performing the function of retaining an output paper sheet according to the user. SOLUTION: Two parameters, the angle of output paper retaining members 1a-1d in their extension direction and the position of the output paper retaining members 1b, 1c in paper output direction, can be set by the user, so that optimum retention of the output paper matching the specific kind of the paper sheet used by the user, storage requirements for the paper sheet, and environmental requirements such as the location of the image forming device, is made possible.
