<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus using two electrifying rollers as a cleaning member capable of preventing a faulty image caused by a blurred image. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has an intermediate transfer belt 9 to which a toner image on a photoreceptor drum 1 is electrostatically transferred at a primary transfer nip part N1, a 1st electrifying roller 25 applying DC voltage to residual toner and a 2nd electrifying roller 23 applying AC voltage so as to electrify the residual toner to have a specified polarity. In the apparatus, as soon as the electrified residual toner is electrostatically transferred from the belt 9 to the drum 1, electric field by which a next toner image on the drum 1 is transferred to the belt 9 is formed. In the apparatus, a cam bearing member 28 and a cam 29 prevent the 1st electrifying roller 25 for the toner left after secondary transfer and the 2nd electrifying roller 23 for the toner left after secondary transfer from abutting on/separating from the belt 9 simultaneously. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
