<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set capable of realizing printing of images excellent in image reproducibility and color reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: The ink set comprises a black ink composition and at least one colored ink composition, wherein the black ink composition essentially comprises a surface-treated pigment dispersible and/or soluble without any dispersant and water as the main solvent, and the colored ink composition essentially comprises a pigment, a polymer including the pigment and enabling the pigment to be dispersed in the ink composition and water as the main solvent, wherein the polymer bears both hydrophobic and hydrophilic groups and is not dissolved in the ink composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
