TRANSMISSION RATE MATCHING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for matching a transmission rate of channel-encoded symbols in a data communication system.

SOLUTION: The transmission rate matching device and method are proposed which can be applied to a case of using one part of all of a non-systematic code (a convolution code or a linear block code) and a systematic code (a turbo code). The rate matching device applies encoded symbols to transmission rate matching blocks corresponding to a reciprocal of a coding rate, and changes only initial parameters (the number of input symbols, the number of output symbols, a puncturing/repetition pattern determining parameter) by a simplified transmission rate matching structure. In this way, transmission matching can be performed for symbols encoded by a non-systematic code or symbols encoded by a systematic code.
