<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus (a repeater) by which the utilization range of a contactless IC card is expanded by extending communication allowing distance between the contactless IC card and a reader/ writer without modifying the present system. <P>SOLUTION: The repeater is for the contactless IC card and comprises: a reader/writer antenna 30 conducting transmission and reception with respect to the reader/writer 100; a reception circuit 31 demodulating a reception signal received by the reader/writer antenna 30; a waveform shaping circuit 32 waveform-shaping the reception signal demodulated by the reception circuit 31; a modulator 33 modulating the waveform-shaped reception signal; and a power amplifier 34 power-amplifying a modulated wave modulated by the modulator 33. In addition, the configuration includes: a loop antenna 35 conducting transmission and reception with respect to an IC card 200; a detector and demodulator 36 demodulating the reception signal received by the loop antenna 35; a waveform shaping circuit 38 waveform-shaping the demodulated reception signal; a modulator 42 modulating the signal (mainly, a response signal); a power amplifier 39 power-amplifying the modulated transmission signal; a control circuit 43 controlling each circuit; and a battery 37 supplying power to all the circuits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
