<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document monitor method which gives a measure of document security. <P>SOLUTION: A document incorporating a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag can be monitored by a proper response command element with respect to transfer operation. A surface suitable for placing the document thereon is constituted so as to monitor the document incorporating the RFID tag.
