PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and easily-manufacturable plate type heat exchanger having high heat-exchange performance, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Both edges of a pair of plates 3, 4 having manifold parts 1 on both sides in the width direction are joined. Then, the plates are formed to have a meandering bent shape, and gateways 6 are provided on the bent parts. Burring-processed parts 7 are formed on the hole edges of the gateways 6, and each burring-processed part 7 is joined and fixed to a flat hole 9 of a header 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
