PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposing method and garbage disposing apparatus that can solve a problem of the odor generated at the disposal of garbage and effectively utilize the heat generated at the disposal of flammable garbage. SOLUTION: The garbage disposing apparatus 1 includes a garbage disposing plant 10 and a flammable garbage incinerating plant 20. The garbage disposing plant 10 includes a garbage fermentor 11 having a garbage heating means. The flammable garbage incinerating plant 20 includes a hopper 21, an incinerator 27, a boiler 29 and a combustion exhaust gas treatment device 31. The apparatus 1 further includes an exhaust pipe 25 for sending the exhaust gas containing the odor generated in the garbage fermentor 11 to the hopper or the incinerator to deodorize the odor in the incinerator. The apparatus 1 includes a feeding pipe 39 for sending the warm water or the steam generated from the boiler to the heating means of the garbage disposing plant to utilize the warm waste heat generated in the flammable garbage incinerating plant for heating the garbage.
