PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device capable of sealing a rotary shaft under a high temperature environment while maintaining high sealing performance. SOLUTION: A double mechanical sealing unit 1 and a divided ring seal 2 are provided between the rotary shaft J and an apparatus main body Z under the high temperature environment. The divided ring seal 2 is installed on an outer peripheral surface of a rotary ring 11, hardly receives influence of heat of the shaft J and maintains the favorable sealing performance without producing a clearance due to an expansion difference. A sleeve 3 is pressurized by a spring 32 and maintains the high sealing performance between the sleeve 3 and the shaft J as fastening force of a packing 30 by the expansion difference is never lowered between itself and a step difference 35. Additionally, a heat insulation space 40 is formed by providing a heat insulation sleeve 4, heat transmission from high temperature fluid inside the shaft J is reduced and the influence of heat on a sealing unit A is restrained.
