PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas engine system capable of stably and surely operating a gas engine using low calorie content gas as fuel obtained by a thermal decomposition gasification system of organic material or garbage. SOLUTION: The gas engine 21 is driven by using low calorie content gas as fuel containing hydrogen, carbon monoxide and methane as principal contents and at least 10-30% hydrogen obtained from the thermal decomposition gasification system 11 such as thermal decomposition gasification reforming or thermal decomposition gasification melting.
