PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic boom type vehicle for high lift work with a simple structure capable of locating a workbench in a position close to the ground right behind a traveling body from a prescribed boom housing attitude with its tip depressed toward the rear of the traveling body. SOLUTION: This telescopic boom type vehicle for high lift work comprises the truck type traveling body 10, a revolving superstructure 20 rotatably supported on a sub-frame 50 fixed onto the chassis frame 12 of the traveling body 10, a telescopic boom 30 provided on the revolving superstructure 20 so as to be movable upward and downward, and the workbench 40 mounted on the tip of the telescopic boom 30. The rear part of the sub-frame 50 has a dent part 57 formed to allow the pass of at least a part of the boom 30 in the side view area of the sub-frame 50 when the boom 30 is extended toward the rear of the traveling body 100 from the prescribed boom housing attitude with the tip of the boom 30 depressed toward the rear of the traveling body 10.
