SPREAD SPECTRUM RAKE RECEIVER

A RAKE receiver in which interference noise can be reduced effectively even when the number of paths is increased. The RAKE receiver comprises means for detecting the receiving timing ti (i=1 through N) of N paths at the time of receiving the direct spread spectrum signal of N paths, means for setting the timing ti,j,k (k=1 through N, k <> j) at which a despread value having correlation with interference from j-th (j=1 through N, j<>i) path entering the despread value of i-th path from the receiving timing ti (i=1 through N) detected by the timing detecting means as the despread timing, a plurality of correlators each determining the despread signal of a receiving signal in response to each timing set by the despread timing setting means, and means for synthesizing the outputs from the plurality of correlators.
