A control device (10) reacts to an input device's control signals and generates commands to run a TV mode and user data to be displayed if the TV mode is running. A tuner (50) receives a TV signal for a selected channel that a decoder (60) decodes in order to separate it into a TV video signal, an audio signal and a synchronizing signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) A device for processing a TV video signal in a mobile telephone with a tuner, a TV decoder, an analog-digital converter and a format scaler; (b) and for a method for displaying a TV video signal in a mobile telephone/terminal.
