<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent the deterioration of an image quality in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus with which an electrostatic latent image is formed by electrifying a photoreceptor 13Y with an electrifying device 14Y and exposing it and is then developed with a developing device 15Y possessing a developing roller 25 rotated in a direction reverse to the photoreceptor 13Y, there are provided: a developing casing 23 possessing an aperture part 22 for exposing part of the developing roller 25 at a position opposed to the photoreceptor 13Y by covering the developing roller 25; and an air-conditioning box 28 which communicates from the upstream side of the rotating direction of the developing roller 25 to the aperture part 22 and covers the electrifying device 13Y and the surface of the photoreceptor 13Y opposed to the electrifying device 13Y and in which air having low humidity flows. The air having the low humidity in the air-conditioning box 28 is supplied to the inside of the developing casing 23 in a state that the developing roller 25 is stopped. Thus, the inside of the developing casing 23 is kept in the state of the low humidity, so that the deterioration of the image quality is reliably prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
