<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording apparatus and an information recording method suitable for the recording of data obtained especially in real time by quickly retrieving free blocks in a memory. <P>SOLUTION: A recording area is divided into a plurality of blocks shown by block numbers 0-1024 and data are recorded in each block. With respect to a non-volatile memory 16, data are recorded in discontinuous blocks.
