<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high quality production plan by automatically generating a production rule at a higher speed. <P>SOLUTION: An event-base simulator 4 simulates a flow of products in a factory for producing a production plan 5, using a production process model 2 and a production rule 3. A production planning system includes an interval-base simulator 6 for calculating a production-process state at constant intervals, and a rule generator 7 for automatically figuring out the production rule 3 by using the interval-base simulator 6. Repeated production of the production plan at a high speed using the interval-base simulator 6 allows the rule generator 7 to automatically generate the production rule 3 effectively applying machine learning based on sequential optimization technology. With use of the production rule 3 thus generated, the event-base simulator 4 produces the production plan 5 of high quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
