PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry polishing method for a spray coating surface for reducing the number of steps, shorten the work time, and dispensing with water to save the time and trouble required for the use of water. SOLUTION: This dry polishing method is characterized in that after removing dust and block of paint on the spray coating surface with an abrasive, surface texture adjustment and abrasive cloth and paper scratch removal are performed with abrasive base material 4 having abrasive material 3 adhering to fiber 2 provided at right angles to a ground fabric 1 and subsequently glazing polishing is performed. Preferably the abrasive base material 4 has a cushioning material 5 on the back, the glazing polishing is performed by a sponge buff and compound, and as the compound, extremely fine grain and ultrafine particles are mixed to be used.
