PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery being prevented from occurrence of its expansion without deterioration of sealing properties. SOLUTION: A laminate battery comprises a laminate structure; that is formed by laminating a sheet-like positive electrode layer (12), a sheet-like separator layer (14), and a sheet-like negative electrode layer (13); a battery element portion (10) having a pass-through hole (11) into the above laminated layers (12, 13, 14) in a laminated direction, a clip (20) that is inserted into the pass-through hole and presses the laminated layers (12, 13, 14) by sandwiching both sides, and laminate films (40) covering the battery element portion and the clip.
