PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens system and a photographing device provided with the lens system which may improve portability and mobility of a photographing system while being able to control highly accurate back-focus adjustment and to eliminate the back-focus adjustment by a user. SOLUTION: The lens system in which both rear focusing and front focusing are possible is provided with an adjustment lens, an actuator for driving the adjustment lens, and a control means for controlling the actuator, and an operation of the back focus adjustment is performed automatically at the time of the front focusing. The adjustment lens is driven in connection with the focusing and zooming operation for the focus adjustment at the time of the rear focusing, and may perform the back focus adjustment at the time of the front focusing.
